Remembering Peter Cargill
ON SATURDAY NIGHT news broke that former National Footballer Peter Cargill died from injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident. Incidentally, Cargill is the third known National footballer to die in a motor vehicle accident in the last four years.
Calculating 16.5 per cent
ON THURSDAY, I heard the news that the General Consumption Tax (GCT) would move to 16.5 per cent up from its current 15 per cent. That along with other news on the day had me really doing some serious maths as to how my small pay cheque would be affected.
