Land of mayhem and slaughter
THE EDITOR, Madam: Jamaica was once called "The land of wood and water" but now it has become a "Land of mayhem and slaughter", which places it alongside South Africa as the most violent and dangerous country on the planet. Please don't get me wrong. South Africa is said to be the most violent and dangerous country on earth but even though I am not that bright, when I work out the scenario mathematically and geographically, the latter places Jamaica as number one because geographically South Africa has a greater land mass and mathematically South Africa has a greater number of people averaging 45 million to Jamaica's supposedly 2.5 million, in a country that takes a few hours to circumvent. Jamaica and South Africa have one thing in common; they are both majority black. So, it seems as if it is all about 'die nigger die', for Negroes love to die at their own peril. ALLAN MARTIN Namibia
