JUNIOR KELLY - The seeds of Music

Kelly

YOU COULD SAY that it was inevitable that Junior Kelly would be involved in music. His family sowed the seeds from early, so he could not even put a date on when his inclination started.

"Mi no really have a particular date in the early parts, but I can state when I first made a record and I first held a microphone, but the home was the training ground for me. We grow up where music was second nature and all around us."

"Since inception ( I have been in music), because mi grow come see mama, when she a wash she a sing something, papa play the banjo, every Sunday him a cool out inna the back yard or pon the verandah," Kelly states.

"Mi grow up inna a yard where mama play her Christian music pon her stereo and the whole warmth of the music was there. The atmosphere was there so a second nature for me to see myself thrust into music or me realizing that I was doing music already."
