Dear Pastor,
I left Jamaica when I was 12 and moved to New York with my family. I am now 20 and am engaged to a 30-year-old man. He has a nine-year-old daughter and we all get along fine.
But he has a problem with me going anywhere without him. He doesn't mind taking me wherever I want to go but there are times when I want some 'me' time with my closest friends just to do some girl stuff. He will get mad at me and say "Whatever it is can wait" but it never happens.
Cellphone
He knows and has the ability to get in contact with me via my cellular phone and by my friend's cellular number also. He likes her a lot but only lets me hang out with her whenever he is around.
We always get into fights, some bigger than others but always about the same thing.
What can I do to solve this, pastor? Please help me. Thank you.

Dear L. B,
He is silly. Every woman needs space, sometimes. Men need space too. Your man needs to understand that if you want to be unfaithful to him, you can. His trying to watch you doesn't make sense. He has to learn to trust you. If he can't do that, he should end the relationship with you. How can you marry a man who is watching every move you make? Such marriage will not work.
Pastor.
