Tempted!

Dear Pastor,

I am a Christian young man and I am having great difficulties with females.

I know that it is a sin having sex before marriage but then it is a great burden not to commit this sin. I have been given offers and I just don't know what to do.

What I can tell you though is that if placed in a tight spot with any one of these females, then I know the flesh will take charge. I am asking that you pray that my strength will hold on. I am eagerly awaiting your reply. God bless.

Dear D.R.,

First of all I will like to tell you that the temptations that you are facing as a young man are similar to what all young men face. And one way of fighting these temptations is not to be alone with any girl who may be interested in having sex with you, such as in her apartment or your apartment or in any isolated place that may encourage the flesh to "take charge."

You may find Romans Chapter 12 verses 1-2 to be a helpful passage of Scripture. Memorise these verses and ask God to help you fight the temptations of the flesh.
