Miss Cherry

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE, people how unnu do? It's di weekend so yuh done know, is crazy spending and partying. Is strictly di hot tings we a deal wid. But people me a beg unnu do, if unnu drink don't drive and if unnu cannot drive regularly lef' cyar alone because mi still vex 'bout di bredda weh run inna mi back Sunday night. But dat is waan nex story whe mi cyaan gi unnu inna suss column!

Well, some of di Olympians are back and mi jus, haffi tell unnu seh mi proud a unnu bad bad. All who win medal and all who nuh win nuh medal - mi proud. Everybody (even di yute inna di 4 X 400 relay whe couldn't mek up him mind bout which lane him waan run inna) did a great job! Big up and One Love from Miss Cherry.

SUSS TIME! Pure entertainer we a deal wid dis week.

FREAKY DEEJAY?

Well, it was just a matter of time before dis one come out but word round town yah is dat one popular deejay is the freakiest of them all. Yeah, him swing both ways and all a suffer from di big A! Mercy! Di whole a di apartment building a talk bout di constant stream of persons coming in and out of di place and di going ons inside ah him pad! All me have to seh to him is dis whatever inna di dark must come to light.

MISS THING GIMME

A BREAK!

Ahright suh mi did tell unnu long time seh Miss Thing pregnant and all a dat. And some trouble mekker people did all a talk 'bout it was di doctor who was di baby daddy and mi did tell unnu he wasn't. But here is where me have to take issue. Getting pregnant was a part of your plan? My girl wha yuh feel like? Yes, a baby is a blessing it always is. But yuh is still a likkle girl, before yuh try mek yuh money first, establish a career, yuh a guh put di brakes pon di ting before it get fi tek off?

A WHA A GWAAN?

Miss Cherry is very disturbed by what is happening inna di media, especially radio dese days. Imagine, two Saturdays ago mi a come from country and mi have di radio pon one a wi station dem and di disc jockey (initials D.L) decide fi play Sizzla's I Was Born.

Now mek mi tell unnu, dat is one of my favorite track dem from Rise to di Occasion. Ah my kinda song dat, it a rebel gainst di system but it nuh fit fi airplay. Not even when it edit it still cannot go pon di air.

EEDIAT TING DAT

Unnu know me ahready. Mi nah pay tax fi mi mout' and me have a big problem wid someting whe me see inna di STAR di people's paper yessiday. How unnu can a use Elephant Man Ova di Wall as favourite tune? Di song seh and I quote: "Bad man put yuh AK ova di wall... Man a real bad man like Joel and them....Kidnap dem daughter or son from dem."

We nuh have a big enough crime problem inna Jamaica? Do we need the words of Elephant Man being read to some fool who a guh seh yeah man a bad man and tek up gun?

SPEAKING OF ELE'

Ele' yuh and Roundhead, unnu join a di hip or someting. Every whe mi see you mi see him, all pon MTV Awards mi si di two a unnu! Anyway mi nuh wrong yuh Roundhead is not like yuh have a career right now, suh gwaan live offa Ele ratings. And Ele' mi vote fi yuh cos mi did waan yuh win someting but breddren it neva enough yah!

Alright di suss too long now... suh mi done yah. Next week.e-mail me at misscherrey@hotmail.com. Bye!
