COMING THIS WEEK as requested by The Star readers is the People's Choice Music Listing. The first of it's kind in Jamaica, THE STAR Chart will be driven purely by public vote.
Every time you vote you will also be in with a chance of winning a weekly prize of a Nokia 8310 or Digicel call credit.
Voting How will it work?
On the first week THE STAR will print 30 popular songs. Each song will have a four digit reference code and the readers will be asked to call or text to vote for their favourite song. Each week from then on The Star will publish the TOP 20 songs and the readers are invited to vote.
Call 444-2457 or Text the word STAR and your four digit code of the song you want to vote for to 444-2457 (e.g. STAR 1234 & send to 444-2457)
When calling you will be asked to enter the four digit number of the song you want to vote for.
Each Thursday at 12 noon the vote lines will close and the votes are tabulated to determine the Top 20 songs which will be published in THE STAR every Friday.
Every week once the voting lines have closed a winner will be picked randomly and contacted by phone.
Requests - How will it work?
Readers will also have the opportunity to request a song / artiste they feel should be in listed in the Top 20

When prompted record the artiste and the name of the song you want listed
Tracks with a significant number of requests are then assigned a reference code and the Top 10 most requested appear in THE STAR People's Choice Music Listing weekly
