DEAR PASTOR,

I am 18 and live with my father and brother. I do not like my father at all. My mother is not alive. All he wants me to do is to cook his food. Even if it is 1:00 a.m. in the night and he wants something to eat, he wakes me up to make him something. I do everything in the home. I have a boyfriend that I love but if my father knows he will kill me. When I get out of school I want to go and live with him. He is a very nice guy. I do not want to live with my father. Can you tell me what to do?

Dear L.B.,

I am sorry to hear that your father is not very sensitive. He is pressuring you and that is most unfortunate. Both of you should have a better understanding and that would have led to a better relationship. I don't see why he should wake you up to cook for him when he comes in at that hour of the morning. That is wickedness. Let us face it. Both of you are living in Florida and in that area, fast food places are everywhere. The man could buy something to eat. I hope that you will not go to live with your boyfriend. I hope that you will try your best to get a good education and that you would not allow yourself to be used by any man. If a man loves you, he should marry you before you go to live with him.
