Double dose of love

DEAR PASTOR,

I have a boyfriend. We have been together for three years and I found out two months ago that he has another girl. I am still with him, but now I am thinking what is going to happen to us. She found out about us. I think we may have to part, but he tells me that he loves me. I can't understand how he can love two persons at the same time. He always tells me that everything is going to be okay with us. I don't know what to do. Can you help me?

L.B., Medford, New York

Dear L.B.,

I always tell young ladies when they have come to realise that their men are intimate with other women they should prepare for the worst. I say that because the men may not marry them. They can never be sure what would happen. Right now you know that your man is playing with another woman. He may or may not marry you. Therefore, you should prepare for the worst. When I say prepare for the worst, put yourself in such a position that if this man tells you at any time he is leaving you, you will not be left in the cold. Save your money. Don't spend any money on him. Don't buy expensive gifts for him. Watch every step you make with him because you do not know if both of you have a future together.
