Little but tallawah
By LEVAUGHN FLYNN, Staff Reporter Ricardo Makyn - Kevin Corrie BLINDING SPEED, GREAT handles and energetic are some of the ways to describe Braves guard Kevin Corrie. He gets up and down the court almost as fast as the ball does and leaves his defenders aimlessly reaching for the ball. His small stature is no measure of his heart as he attacks the basket unfazed by his opponents' big men. Corrie says that his size motivates him to show people that he is to be taken seriously and that when Crunch Time comes he is ready for the big shot.
Name: Kevin Corrie Team: Braves Chiefs Height: 5' 4" Weight: 132 lbs. Position: Point guard Favourite thing to do on the court: Steal the ball Strongest aspect of your game: My speed What motivates you: The love for the game and just going out and competing against the best players in the country. What's your pre-game ritual: Nothing in particular. Most memorable moment: Beating Ardenne in high school league final in 2000 while playing for Hydel. Favourite international player: Detroit Pistons' Rasheed Wallace Crunch Time Question: Your team is down by two points with three seconds left in the game. Coming out of a time-out, your coach has just designed a play for you to take a three-point shot and go for the win. On receiving the ball at the three-point line, three defenders surround you and there is no passing lane to any of your teammates. Do you still attempt the shot for the win or drive to the basket for the tie? KC: Shoot it - with three seconds left it's win or lose.
