Clash of the two JLPs
THE EDITOR, Madam: The struggle between reformist and the traditional guard for the reign of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) continues. It is evident that the traditional guards are not willing to cede power to new fresh blood. I think Mr. Golding's nomination of Mr. Seaga's to chair the selection committee is so disingenuous, if, as he say he is committed to change in the JLP. Since his return to the JLP Mr. Golding has slipped into his old mode of operation (rice and flour politics as usual) and is an embarrassment to those who support his return to the party. To Ms. Grange, I want to say Hhush! And keep cool'. Time will heal old wounds and head will come back good'. You're an advocate of your leader and brutally honest about where your loyalty lies. That much is true about you. The same cannot be said of Messrs. Shaw, Golding and Smith. Over time you will laugh when you realize your loyalty was misplaced. Congratula-tions to reformist, Mr. Warmington and the others who are honest in their belief and are committed to change in the JLP.
