Bolt moves up in 200m ranking

WORLD Junior 200 metres record holder Usain Bolt has moved up seven places in the world's top list released on Monday.

Bolt who clocked an amazing 19.93 seconds at the recently held Carifta Games to crown himself the best junior over the distant in the world, is listed at number 20 with 1212 points.

The phenomenal Bolt, who is still only 17 years old, lowered the previous world mark of 20.13 seconds he shared with American Roy Martin. He is listed behind fellow Jamaican Ricardo Williams who is at 17th on the world list with 1227 points.

Americans occupy the top three spots. Darvis Patton (1334) is at number one followed by Shawn Crawford and John Capel, the 2003 world champion.

In smashing the 200 metres world junior record, Bolt became the youngest athlete ever to record a sub-20 clocking and the first athlete to go under 20-second mark in almost two years.
