By By RASBERT TURNER, STAR WriterDEEJAY FRISCO 'ANCIENT Monarchy' Kid, was granted $150,000 bail in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court when he appeared there on a sex charge yesterday.
Allegations outlined in court are that on March 8, 2004 about 1 p.m., the complainant, a 15-year-old schoolgirl, reportedly went to the entertainer's home in Braeton, Portmore, St. Catherine, and had sexual intercourse.
It was also told that the accused is well known to the complainant through visits that is made at her father's home.
On Easter Monday, the court was told, the complainant wrote a letter to her step-sister telling her that she was sexually active. The letter was shown to the child's mother who contacted the police.
A report was made and a statement taken from the child. Following an investigation, the deejay, born Steve Wray, was arrested and charged with carnal abuse.
When he appeared in court yesterday, his lawyer, Althea Grant, made a successful bail application which was granted by RM Lorna Errar Gayle. Wray is to reappear in the court on May 11, 2004.
