Are we trying to sugarcoat rape?

THE EDITOR, Madam;

There was something very wrong in what Rita said that I would like to clarify for the young girls and boys and their parents who read this.

NEVER IS IT OKAY FOR A MAN TO RAPE...HUSBAND OR NOT.

Rita says "It wasn't like a stranger rape me..." but she was still raped. It doesn't matter who it is, no means no.

Nowhere in your vows or the Bible does it say it is okay for your husband to TAKE sex. It's yours, not his, even in marriage. She said he was a good provider. He shouldn't be praised for that, he married her, it's his duty.

Some would say, we shouldn't crucify him over one mistake.... So I say, how many times does a person have to murder before being considered a MURDERER?

How many times do you have to steal to become a THIEF?

How many times do you have to cheat to be an ADULTERER?

How many times do you have to rape to be a RAPIST?

Don't get me wrong. Bob has inspired people....but so did others, like R. Kelly.

I am etc.,
