Have you seen Kerry-Ann?

Kerry-Ann Burrell

RELATIVES OF EIGHTEEN-year-old Kerry-Ann Burrell of Fagan Avenue, Kingston 8, who has been reported missing since last week Tuesday, are seemingly involved in futile search.

Burrell's sister, Erica, said Kerry-Ann was last seen wearing a brown pair of jeans, a blue polo shirt, and a pair of brown sneakers. "She had her hair in one with some flat twists at the front," Erica said. "She is of a light complexion and had a blue, one strap, Nike school bag."

Their mother, Lillian "Miss Dell" Alexander, recounted her daughter's hurried behaviour before going to school on Tuesday morning, the last time she saw her. "She was getting ready to go to school but she went by bigger sister's house first," Miss Dell said. "She kept on saying, 'I'm coming, I'm coming' and then she said goodbye and left."

Since then, they have searched their community, the Duhaney Park area, Mona and even Old Harbour, without finding a trace of the missing teen. "Someone told me they saw her in Old Harbour Fishing Bay last week Thursday," Erica told THE STAR, "Then, on Sunday, I went to Sherlock Cresent, Brooke Valley, and the lane behind the Duhaney Park Police Station but we did not find her."

On Tuesday, another sighting at Mona Hockey field led them down another cold trail. Yet, the family insists that Kerry-Ann was not the type of girl to just leave without notifying her loved ones.

Her boyfriend of a year, 21-year-old Damone Williams of Shortwood Avenue, confirmed that his girlfriend was a very responsible girl. "The last time I saw her was Monday and she wouldn't just leave and not tell anyone. Mi do everything, ask people, go places, call her frien dem. I really miss her."

Family members are asking that persons knowing the whereabouts of Kerry-Ann to call 354-2211 or 395-1660 or report to the Constant Spring police immediately.
