Fearing the worst
Loriann Graham - FileIT HAS BEEN two weeks since Terene Thompson vanished. And, with every day that passes her family grows more concerned about her safety. "We are just so worried. We have not heard from her and we have not heard anything from anybody who knows where she is," Thompson's niece, Loriann Graham, told THE WEEKEND STAR. The last time anybody saw 26-year-old Thompson was on March 19, at a bus stop in Junction, St. Elizabeth. She was on her way to a doctor in Santa Cruz, but she never got there. Thompson's relatives say that she was not the kind of person who would just up and leave without telling anybody, and all indications are that foul play is involved in her disappearance. "We heard that two men in a black car pulled her into the vehicle and drove off with her," said Graham. They have not been able to ascertain the make or registration number of the vehicle.
Proven futile
Meanwhile, attempts by the family to reach Terene on her cellular phone have proven futile. "Every time we call the number we keep getting the message saying 'number unavailable'", said Graham. More troubling for Thompson's relatives was information they received from her cellular phone provider, Digicel. "When we contacted them they told us that her SIM card had been erased," said Graham. Thompson is of dark complexion and slim build and is five feet five inches tall. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a red blouse, a pair of black jeans and red shoes. If anyone sees her or has any information about her disappearance please call the nearest police station or 354-0290, 797-0682 or 319-1734.
