Dear Pastor,
I am a Jamaican living in Canada. My reason for writing is that I just want to say that there are a lot of people living abroad who seem to put down Jamaica because of the violence taking place in the country. What these people don't realize is that there is no difference as far as crime is abroad.
Everyday someone gets shot or stabbed here in Canada, but as Jamaicans we seem to overlook that and then turn around and say everything bad about Jamaica. The main things they say is that they don't wish to visit Jamaica because they don't want anyone to murder them. If we live our lives the way God wants us to live, these things will be the least of our worries.

Dear ....,
The only place that is crime-free is Heaven. Yes, Heaven is the only place crime is not committed. Jamaica is not heaven, neither is Canada.
Peace loving people worldwide abhor crime. However, some Jamaicans living abroad talk as if everybody living in Jamaica is crazy and violent.
They do no good bad talking their country. Pastor.
