Club Hype 3 sizzles over the weekend

Whoa it sweet', seems to be what these patrons are thinking as they dance in true carnival fashion with each other at Red Night, held at the Fayor's Entertainment Centre in Mandeville last Friday night. - Carlington Wilmot

CLUB HYPE 3 was a decent getaway on Friday night.

Although the students' union of the University of The West Indies was not crammed to its full capacity, the session had a contagious vibe which rapidly spread among those who were there.

With the infectious remixes, dubplates, and regular tunes which were played by Coppershot and the duo Razz and Biggy, the session held its own.

The duo made their intentions clear when Razz blurted over the microphone; "Yu see Razz and Biggie, a we response fi UWI and U-TECH!" With that they launched their dance commands to which a group of dancers on the stage followed diligently.

Let loose

There was space enough for the crowd on hand to let loose and do their dance moves at every command of the selectors, and space available to comfortably mingle with friends.

Music was not the only thing being offered, as halfway through the show the promoters threw in a short but sizzling fashion show.

This show featured the Finnesse models wearing clothes from La Pluma Negra, Old Skhool, Cooyah, and Imejewear.

The mixture of lingerie, short skirts, see through blouses, and tight fitting shorts seemed got to the men. A few of the over zealous ones forked out $100 bills and waved to the female models, and when that was not enough, others tried to climb on to the stage with them.

Even while the show was going on, the bars had a steady flow of drinkers willing to try almost anything. There were special Bacardi mixes on sale, and free shots of the top end liquors in the VIP section.

By regulations however, these vibes had to end just before 4 a.m.
