United at last Bounty Killer and Beenie Man together
(From left), Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel and Bounty Killer shares the stage at the 'Eclipse Pool Party IV. - Carlington Wilmot "ALL A WHO glad fi see Beenie Man and Bounty Killer pon the same stage hand inna di air!" Those were the words from which signed what looked like the new peace treaty between Bounty Killer and his age-old nemesis Beenie Man early on Sunday morning. As soon as Beenie Man uttered the words at minutes after 5 a.m., Rockfort's Mineral Spa erupted into a euphoric series of gunshots mixed with passionate screams of pleasure from the massive crowd which turned up for the 'Eclipse Pool Party IV'. "All a who used to say that the alliance a fight 'gainst Moses Davis, we just prove dem wrong!" Bounty Killer added. With that, the two former feuding deejays launched into a series of their best 1990s hits, passing the microphone to each other and deejaying the tunes which propelled them to fame a decade ago. Bounty Killer was fully dressed in black, while Beenie Man wore a full white suit, a testimony to their contrasting characters. The two deejays, however, seemed to throw their differences aside one more time, as they blended their voices on-stage. This move more than thrilled the passionate crowd, because the more excited they got, the more gun salutes rang out into the early morning. This excitement was quickly curbed by the police however, who raced on to the stage and threatened to end the show if the shooting continued.
Cease fire
Following appeals by Bounty Killer and other artistes, there were no shots fired. The only firing which took place was the lyrics which Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, Predator, Bling Dawg, Jagwa and a few more spat out. In the show's closing moments, Bounty Killer said the words which put a fitting end to a drawn out yet entertaining event. "Yes, mi glad fi know we can do this. Me and Beenie always have different point a view, but at the end a the day a just one music."
