Missing man!
Donovan Essor - ContributedWestern Bureau: RELATIVES OF TAXI operator and Hanover resident Donovan Essor, are baffled and still searching for answers since he disappeared under mysterious circumstances last week. They fear that he is dead after dentures, identical to ones he owns, were reportedly found on a beach, and a body was reportedly seen floating in the sea by fishermen. "Two fishermen said a finger got caught in their net and they saw an Indian man body in the sea," said Sandra Essor, sister of the missing man. According to Sandra, her brother's disappearance begun came to light at around 10:00 p.m. last Thursday. "You see, he picks up his girlfriend at 10:00 o'clock every night at the Lucea bus stand," she explained. "But he never came and she started calling his cell."
Unanswered calls Those calls went unanswered and the next day the girlfriend called the missing man's mother, Pearl Essor. She said that her son never arrived home the night before and she, too, was wondering of his whereabouts. "He never stays out without telling mama," Sandra said. Sandra stated that her mother alerted her of her brother's disappearance and she hurriedly went to the Lucea taxi stand to seek information. "Some taxi men told me they did not see my brother at the stand last night," she said. Fearing the worst Sandra Essor was heading back home when she ran into a nephew and she inquired whether he knew of Donovan's whereabouts. It was then a strange story began unfolding. "My nephew told me that he was in a shop when a man by the name of Orville told him that he thought he (my nephew) was dead since a fisherman told him that an Indian man body was seen in the sea," she explained. "The man said the dead person looked like my nephew."
Dead body found After hearing this Sandra said she went to the police and a search was immediately initiated. The dead body was reportedly seen last Saturday but the fishermen left it in the sea in order to make a report to the police. To make matters worse, blood and Mr. Essor's dentures, wallet, and pictures, were found on some rocks near the old Rusea's High School building on Saturday evening. As of Tuesday the police had not made a breakthrough into the matter. Sandra Essor said that the family wants to bring closure to the matter. "If he is dead we want a body to at least know that he is dead," she said.
