Clarendon:
FRANK MILLER, A policeman attached to the Mandeville Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) in Manchester and who is charged with the murder of his girlfriend, 47-year-old Yvette Locke, of May Pen, Clarendon, is to return to court on July 12, 2004, to answer to the charge after witnesses in the matter failed to turn up for court.
Attorney-at-law Alpheus Hinds, who is representing Miller, asked that the court set another date citing the non-appearance of the witnesses. Resident Magistrate Dee Barnett agreed and set the new date.
According to the allegations, Miller murdered Locke on May 6, 2003, and dumped her body on Sevens Road in May Pen, Clarendon.
The body was found at 6 a.m. that same morning with the neck broken. Investigations by detectives from the May Pen Criminal Investigation Branch, led to Miller's arrest.
Sources close to the victim told THE STAR that Locke and Miller had a relationship for several years however, problems developed when Locke learnt that Miller was married and his wife was living abroad.
A source revealed that Locke made several attempts to break off the relationship and was threatened by Miller.
