TVJ's Schools' Challenge Quiz begins its 35th season today

THE LONGEST RUNNING television show in the English-speaking Caribbean, and one of the most unique quiz shows in the world, TVJ's Schools' Challenge Quiz, begins its 35th season today.

This year, a record number of 67 schools have entered the competition, five more than last year. Eight schools, including one all girls, have made it to the ranks of the seeded. They are:

1. GLENMUIR HIGH

2. MUNRO COLLEGE

3. MANCHESTER HIGH

4. ARDENNE HIGH

5. KINGSTON COLLEGE

6. CLARENDON COLLEGE

7. CALABAR HIGH

8. IMMACULATE HIGH

The official launch will take place today at TVJ's South Odeon Avenue studios. Matches will be aired Mondays to Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

The first match of this season between Jonathan Grant and Bog Walk High will be aired in that time slot tonight. Jonathan Grant will seek to better last year's performance, which saw them exiting after a 35-28 loss to Camperdown in the first round.
