Dear Pastor,
I am a first-year student of the University of the West Indies. The more I stay on this campus, is the more I get disgusted by some of the male students here. I live on one of the liveliest halls, and by experience I have concluded that UWI boys only want to deceive innocent girls and then discuss their actions with their friends.
Pastor, they are like vultures waiting to steal a girl's virginity and then move on to their next victim. To make matters worse, these vultures call innocent girls and demand dinner, breakfast, and lunch daily. If you think that these vultures are contributing a penny, then think again.
Pastor, I had to stand strong or otherwise this vulture would have sucked me dry. He might have got my food but he did not get to the promised land.
Nice talking to you, pastor, catch you later.
A.F., UWI, Mona
Dear A.F.,
You are a wise young lady. Don't allow anybody to deceive you. Keep yourself pure. Con-centrate on what you went to university to do. Socialize with the opposite sex, but don't get involved with the 'vultures' as you have described some of them.
Thank God for decent young men who do not take advantage of naive young women. Some female students grew up in a sheltered environment and when they go to university they do not know how to cope with men who see them as prey. Girls like you should try to help other girls.
My prayers are with you. Write to me again.
Pastor.
